Dr Jennifer Laidlaw
Jennifer Laidlaw completed her MD at the University of British Columbia (UBC) prior to completing her residency in Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. She was involved in medical education during her residency. She has published and presented at international conferences on subjects like delirium screening social media, and professionalism. She spent the beginning of her career as the head of Consultation Liaison (CL) Psychology at Surrey Memorial Hospital where she focused on building a thriving and highly collaborative CL service which provides psychiatric care for patients on surgical and medical wards as well as the palliative care and oncology units. She also was awarded an Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines for management of vulnerable patients in hospital.
She is also the provincial practice leader for Psychiatry in BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC, and the Past-President BC Psychiatric Association. She is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty in the UM PM&
