The Middle East is an area where cars and truck is king and fuel is low-cost, typically leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of walking around.

But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have pushed up the cost of oil, the concern of finding alternative of fuel has entered into sharp focus.

In an area that has one of the greatest carbon footprints in the world, one company is benefiting from the growing pressure to find alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving rewarding too, currently their client-list contains McDonald's.
